ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Please ensure you meet one of these requirements:

  • A pass in SPM (or equivalent) with at least a credit in three (3) subjects and a pass in Art/Technical Drawing*
  • A pass in STPM (or equivalent) with a minimum grade of C (GP 2.0) in any subject**
  • A pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum grade of B in three (3) subjects
  • A certificate in any relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government

*Students who did not take/failed the Art/Technical Drawing subjects are required to take the portfolio test at Cosmopoint College.
**Not applicable for Cosmopoint College Sg. Petani, Johor Bahru and Kota Bahru. For these campuses, a pass in STPM (or equivalent) with a minimum grade of C in Mathematics or a credit in Mathematics at SPM level is required.

AIM OF PROGRAMME

The Diploma in Computer Graphic Design focuses on the core principles and concepts needed to address graphic design challenges. Students will hone their abilities to create suitable designs and display an effective use of colours, dominant elements, typography and production skills in creating effective layout designs. At the end of the programme, students are required to prepare their portfolios for a professional presentation.

The programme teaches students to apply their creativity using graphic design tools and techniques. It also equips students with basic knowledge in graphic and visual communication to prepare them for the actual media environment.
